Modular Tendon-Driven Prosthetic Hand

The first prosthetic hand with independent finger splay — a fundamental human capability absent from every commercial device on the market. A new approach to biomimetic mechanical architecture delivers natural hand function through geometry, not electronics.

Technology

Geometry First. Always.

ODEN's breakthroughs come from mechanical architecture, not electronics. By embedding intelligence into the physical structure itself, we eliminate components, reduce failure modes, and unlock capabilities no existing prosthetic can match.

01

Independent Finger Splay

Each finger moves laterally as well as curling — just like a real hand. A novel joint architecture makes this possible without the complexity of traditional robotic approaches.

02

Passive Adaptive Grip

The hand conforms to objects through physics, not software. A proprietary compliance system means each finger naturally adapts to what it touches — no sensors, no latency, no failure modes.

03

Grows With You

Start simple, grow capable. The hand begins with intuitive control and progressively unlocks more dexterity as you learn. You're always in charge — the system adapts to you, not the other way around.

Click & drag a finger to splay

Over 25 million people worldwide live with upper limb loss. Existing prosthetics force a choice between cosmetic appearance and basic grip function. None offer the lateral finger movement fundamental to how humans actually use their hands. ODEN closes that gap.

Restoring what was lost. Not approximating it.

Aryx Industries

Aryx Industries is building the biomimetic hardware platform for human motion — starting with the hand. ODEN is the first product in a roadmap that begins with restoring natural hand function for upper limb amputees and extends into broader rehabilitation and assistive technologies.

Our approach centres on geometry-first mechanical design: solving problems through physical architecture rather than computational complexity. The result is hardware that is simpler, more reliable, and fundamentally more capable than existing approaches.
